Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Kovalam

Welcome to the capital of Kerala and abode of Lord Ananta Padmanabhan, Thiruvananthapuram was referred by Mahatma Gandhi as the "Evergreen city of India". On arrival at TRV airport, pick up and cab transfer to Hotel Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa and rest of the day explore around and spend at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Thiruvananthapuram

Cab pickup in the morning and visit the cultural hotspot of ancient Thiruvananthapuram, the Kanakakunnu Palace(Napier Museum & Sri Chitra Art gallery). Post lunch visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple & Kuthiramalika Palace. Depending on time availability do a city tour. Overnight stay at hotel. Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple visit timing: 03.15 am to 04.15 am (Nirmalya Darshanam), 06.30 am to 07.00 am 08.30 am to 09.15 am 05.00 pm to 06.15 pm 06.45 pm to 07.20 pm Dress Code: There is a strict dress code for the visitors. Men need to wear mundu or dhoti (worn around the waist and going down up to the heels) and should not wear shirts of any kind. Women need to wear sari, mundum neriyathum (set-mundu), skirt and blouse, or half sari. With a recent notification, women wearing churidars or salwars are allowed to enter the premises No form of electronic items is allowed inside the temple. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited.

Day 3

Kumarakom

Check out of the hotel at leisure. Post lunch cab transfer to Taj Kumarakom. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4

Kumarakom

Board the luxury houseboat at Taj Kumarakom Jetty at 11 am. Enjoy welcome drinks and cruise the scenic backwaters. Relish the Kerala traditional lunch and tea and evening snacks and close the cruise by 5pm. Proceed to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5

Vaikom, Kochi

Check out of the hotel at leisure. Proceed to Kochi by cab. Enroute stop over at Vaikom and enjoy the panoramic narrow channel canoeing. Proceed to Kochi and check in to hotel. In the evening do a heritage walk at Fort Kochi, enjoying the iconic Chinese fishing nets, walk in the Fort Kochi beach. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6

Kochi

In cab proceed to a guided Kochi Old city tour and explore Fort Kochi, Dutch Cemetery, Jewish Synagogue and St. Francis Church where mortal remains of Vasco da Gama are kept. Post lunch visit Kerala Folklore Museum at Thevara Ferry Road, Junction. Overnight stay at hotel. Guide will report at Hotel by 9.30 am and close the tour by 5pm.

Day 7

Kochi

Check out of the hotel at leisure. Enjoy the famed Broadway shopping and explore Marine drive by cab. Transfer to airport. Back home with wonderful memories of your trip.

    • The total vehicle kilometres are calculated at 80 kms & 8 hours/day. Anything additional will be charged extra. Any such extra charges to be paid & settled directly with driver before closure of trip.
    • Expense of personal nature such as tips, laundry, telephones, beverages etc
    • Airfares and Train ticket charges if any.
    • Christmas Eve /New year Eve supplement charges if applicable.

Terms & Conditions

  • The itinerary is valid for maximum 2 (2 adults) paying person/s only.
  • Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.
  • Check in time 1400 Hrs and Check out time 1200 Hrs for all hotels
  • Vehicle at disposable from 8 AM to 8 PM as per above itinerary. Any additional sightseeing will be charged extra.
  • The food service at respective hotels depends on hotel occupancy. In case of low occupancy, a set menu for a fixed price will be provided by the hotel as per your chosen food plan.

    Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor.
