Kochi also known as "Queen of Arabian Sea" due to the long maritime history; Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and Portuguese followed the sea routes to Kochi. The fascinating Chinese Fishing nets are typical of Kochi. Visit Dutch Palace (11km) (Closed on Fridays), Jewish Synagogue (11 km) (Closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays), St. Francis church (15km), Santa Cruz Basilica (15 km), Chinese Fishing Nets as time permits. After breakfast proceed to Cheruthony/Idukki(04 Hrs), on arrival check into hotel later spend the day local sightseeing. Situated on the banks of Cheruthony River, a major tributary of the Periyar River, the second longest river in Kerala state, this peaceful small town is known for its pristine, virgin locales, and home to Cheruthony Dam & Idukki Arch dam which powers the state. Places to visit are the famous Hillview park, Kolumban Samadhi, Cheruthony & Idukki Dam visit & boating. Overnight stay at Idukki hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Munnar (02.15 Hrs), on arrival check into hotel later spend the day local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. Overnight stay at Munnar Hotel.
After breakfast proceed with sightseeing of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park (15 km) to view endangered wild goat ' Nilgiri Tahr'. (National Park is Closed From 01st Feb to 15th Apr during breeding season). Visit Tea Museum (03Km) and the Tea factory (Closed on Mondays and Good Friday), Mattupetty Dam (13km) and Kundala Lake (28km). Overnight stay at the hotel.Note: For visit to Eravikulam National Park, advance ticket reservation is available at Wild Life Division office, Near Panchayat office, Munnar Town - Contact 04865 231587. Working Time 9am to 3pm
After break fast check out from the hotel/Resorts and proceed to Kochi at leisure. Do shopping at Broadway, Marine drive etc for Kerala souvenir's and get dropped and end the tour with happy memories!
