Situated at the northern end of Cherai Beach, Munambam beach (Muziris Golden Beach) is where the River Periyar flows into the Arabian Sea. It is famous for its fishing harbour. Munambam is a suburb of Kochi, at the north end of Vypeen Island, surrounded by the Arabian Sea on the west, Periyar river on the east.
